- Eligibility: Graduation in any discipline
- Age: 28 upto years (Relaxation in age upto 32 years for reserved categorie)
- Examination Pattern: Priliminary and main examinations are conducted. Successful candidates are called for interview.
- Training: Successful candidates have to undergo 11 month training at Maharashtra Police Academy, Nashik.

District Police:, You have to apply in to Maharashtra Police Recruitment Portal responces to the advertisement issused by the Maharashtra Police department.
- Eligibility: Passed the Higher Secondary School certificate Examination (XIIth Standard Conducted by a Divisional Board under the Maharashtra Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Boards Act, 1965 (Mah.41 of 1965), and includes any other examinations declared by the Government to be equivalent thereto.
- Age: Minimum 18 years and maximum 28 years for Open category candidates (33 years for Reserve category candidates).
- Height: For male candidate-165 cms & for female candidate-155 cms.
- Chest: Shall not be less than 79 centimeters deflated and the difference between deflated chest and expanded chest shall not be less than 5 centimeters.
- Examination Pattern: Computer based written test followed by physical examination and Physical Tests.
- Training: Successful candidates have to undergo nine months training at one of the Police Training Schools in Maharashtra.
State Reserve Police Force:
- Eligibility: Passed the Higher Secondary School certificate Examination (XIIth Standard Conducted by a Divisional Board under the Maharashtra Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Boards Act, 1965 (Mah.41 of 1965), and includes any other examinations declared by the Government to be equivalent thereto.
- Age: Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years for Open category candidates (Maximum age Limit in respect of Backward Class candidate shall be relaxable as per the Government Policy laid down in this regard from time to time).
- Height: For male candidate-168 cms.
- Chest: Shall not be less than 79 centimeters deflated and the difference between deflated chest and expanded chest shall not be less than 5 centimeters.
- Examination Pattern: Computer based written test followed by physical examination and Physical Tests.
- Training: Successful candidates have to undergo nine months training at State Reserve Police Training School, Nanveej.
