Dial 112 Primary Contact Centre set up at Navi Mumbai provided immediate assistance to a citizen on 01-02-2022 at 09:10 pm. A thief was fleeing after stealing gold chain of a woman near CBD Belapur, Indian Oil Petrol Pump when the caller had grabbed him and called on 112 for immediate help. Keeping in view the seriousness of the situation, the call was immediately sent to a Mobile Data Terminal (MDT) of nearby Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) of CBD police station and the same was also informed to the CBD Police Station officer. ERV first Responder took note of the call and reached the spot within 3 minutes and took custody of the person who committed the theft and case was registered.
